Kheer with Sweet Potato Crunch
A warm and comforting Indian dessert made with sweet potatoes and kheer, perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients
- β2 medium sweet potatoespeeled and diced
- β1 cup kheerhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp gheeclarified butter
- β1 tsp cinnamon powderoptional
- β1/4 tsp nutmeg powderoptional
- β1/4 tsp cardamom powderoptional
- β2 tbsp sugaror to taste
- β1 cup milkdairy or non-dairy milk

1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

2. Toss the diced sweet potatoes with 1 tsp of ghee and roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until tender.

3. In a large saucepan, combine the kheer, milk, sugar, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, and cardamom powder. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.

4. Add the roasted sweet potatoes to the saucepan and stir to combine.

5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
