Japanese Okonomiyaki Pancake
A popular Japanese savory pancake made with batter, cabbage, and various toppings.

Ingredients
- β1 medium head, shredded Cabbage
- β1 cup Batter Mixstore-bought or homemade
- β2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- β1/2 pound, peeled and chopped Shrimp (optional)
- β1/2 cup, sliced Bamboo Shoots (optional)
- β1/4 cup, thinly sliced Green Onion

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine cabbage and batter mix.

Add soy sauce and sesame oil to the bowl and mix well.

If using shrimp or bamboo shoots, add them to the bowl and mix.

Heat a non-stick pan or okonomiyaki pan over medium heat.

Add 1/4 cup of the cabbage-batter mixture to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Loosen the pancake with a spatula and flip it over. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Repeat with the remaining mixture, forming 4-6 pancakes.
