Chicken Biryani
A delicious and flavorful Indian dish made with marinated chicken, basmati rice, and warm spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup Basmati ricelong-grain rice
- ●1 pound Chicken breastboneless, skinless
- ●2 tablespoons Ghee or vegetable oilfor frying
- ●1 medium Onionchopped
- ●1 inch piece Gingergrated
- ●3 cloves Garlicminced
- ●1 teaspoon Cumin powderground
- ●1 teaspoon Coriander powderground
- ●1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powderground
- ●1/2 teaspoon Red chili powderground
- ●to taste Salt
- ●chopped Fresh cilantrofor garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Add the grated ginger and minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Mix well.

Add the marinated chicken and cook until it is browned on all sides.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Add the basmati rice to the pan and stir well.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
