Lentil Pilaf with Middle Eastern Flair
A hearty and flavorful lentil pilaf dish inspired by the warm spices of the Middle East. This comforting meal is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 cup green lentils
- β1 cup aromatic rice pilaf mix
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 medium onion
- β2 cloves garlic
- β1 tsp ground cumin
- β1 tsp ground coriander
- β1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Stir in the cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the lentils, rice pilaf mix, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
