Buttery Cardamom Layered Paratha
A layered flatbread infused with the warmth of cardamom and the richness of butter, perfect for a delicious breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
- β2 cups all-purpose flourwarm and layered
- β1/2 cup ghee or unsalted buttermelted
- β1/2 cup yogurtdairy or non-dairy
- β1 teaspoon ground cardamomgrated
- β1/4 teaspoon saltto taste
- βas needed water- 1/4 cup

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and ground cardamom.

Gradually add the melted ghee or butter and mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll each part into a ball.

Roll out each ball into a thin circle, about 6-7 inches in diameter.

Brush the surface with melted ghee or butter and sprinkle with water.

Fold the dough into a triangle or a square shape, depending on your preference.

Roll out the dough into a thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Cook the paratha for 1-2 minutes on each side, until it's golden brown and puffed up.
