Smoky Fish Fry
A traditional British-style fish fry with a smoky twist, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
- β4 Cod filletsFresh and wild-caught
- β1 cup Fry batter mixMake sure it's gluten-free
- β2 tsp Smoked paprikaAdd a smoky flavor
- β1 tsp SaltUse sea salt for the best flavor
- β0.5 tsp Black pepperFreshly ground is best
- β1 cup Vegetable oilFor frying
- β4 Lemon wedgesFor serving

1. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or a deep fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C).

2. In a bowl, mix together the fry batter mix, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

3. Dip each cod fillet into the batter mix, making sure it's fully coated.

4. Carefully place the battered cod fillets into the hot oil.

5. Fry the cod for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Remove the cod from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
