Argentinian Beef Empanadas
A classic Argentinian dish, these empanadas are filled with tender beef and spices, perfect for a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef, finely choppedMake sure to cook to at least 160Β°F (71Β°C)
- β1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- β2 cloves Garlic, minced
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Warm water
- β1 tablespoon Spiced oil, for brushing
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Warm waterfor egg wash

In a large skillet, heat the spiced oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the chopped beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour and warm water to form a dough.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

Place a tablespoon or two of the beef mixture onto one half of the circle.
