German-Style Beef Tacos
A twist on traditional tacos, this recipe combines the flavors of Germany with the spices of Mexico.
Ingredients

- β1 medium onionfinely chopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup freekehcooked according to package instructions
- β2 tsp ground cumin
- β1 tsp chili powder
- β1 tsp salt
- β4-6 warm tortillascorn or flour
- β1 cup shredded cheese

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the ground cumin, chili powder, and salt to the skillet and stir to combine.

Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Stir in the cooked freekeh and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Warm the tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.
