Warmly Spiced Chicken Braise

- β4-6 chicken thighsbone-in, skin-on

- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β2 tsp warmly spiced portuguese saffronstore-bought or homemade
- β2 cups chicken brothlow-sodium
- β1 cup red winedry
- β2 bay leavesfresh or dried
- β1 tsp saltto taste
- β1/2 tsp black pepperto taste

Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add chicken; cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add warmly spiced portuguese saffron, chicken broth, red wine, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
