Kenyan Beer-Braised Dumplings
A hearty Kenyan-inspired dish featuring tender dumplings slow-cooked in a rich beer-based sauce.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Wholesome all-purpose flour
- β1 cup Kenyan wheat flour
- β1 cup Beer
- β1 cup Water
- β12-15 wrappers Dumpling wrappers
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 pound Ground beef
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add flour and stir to coat beef, cooking for 1 minute.

Gradually add beer, stirring to combine.

Add dumpling wrappers, one at a time, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until dough is cooked through.
