Slovakian Rye Pancakes
A traditional Slovakian breakfast dish made with rye flour and served with wholesome toppings.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups Rye flour
- β1 cup Milk
- β2 Eggs
- β2 tablespoons Sugar
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
- βas desired Wholesome toppings (e.g. fruit, honey, etc.)
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together rye flour, sugar, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

The batter should still be slightly lumpy.

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

Drop the batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto the pan.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges start to dry.

Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
