Vietnamese-Style Beef Meatballs with Bun
A traditional Vietnamese dish featuring ground beef meatballs served with warm bun. This recipe is a flavorful and comforting twist on a classic.

- β250g Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β4-6 pieces BunWarm, soft bun
- β1 medium Wholesome OnionFinely chopped
- β1/4 cup Mixed CilantroChopped
- β2 cups Grain RiceCooked
- β2 tsp Cha SpicesGround cinnamon, paprika, and nutmeg
- β1 tsp SaltTo taste
- β1/2 tsp Black PepperTo taste
- β1 large EggBeaten
- β2 tbsp Vegetable OilFor frying

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, cilantro, rice, cha spices, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Add the beaten egg to the mixture and mix until just combined.

Use your hands to shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) in diameter. You should end up with around 20-25 meatballs.

Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each meatball to allow for even cooking.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.

While the meatballs are baking, toast the bun by wrapping it in foil and heating it in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until warm and soft.

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet.

Serve the meatballs with the warm bun, and garnish with additional cilantro if desired.
