Bramley Apple Stew
A hearty and comforting stew made with tender Bramley apples, perfect for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- ●3-4 Bramley applesany variety of cooking apples
- ●500g Wholesome stewing steak (or beef)optional for added protein
- ● Vessel of waterfor simmering
- ●200ml Pot of stewing liquidbeef or vegetable stock
- ●2 tbsp Greek olive oilfor sautéing
Instructions

1. Peel, core and chop the Bramley apples into chunks.

2. If using stewing steak, cut it into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.

3. In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

4. Add the chopped apples and sauté for 5 minutes, until they start to soften.

5. Add the stewing steak (if using) and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.

6. Pour in the stewing liquid and bring the mixture to a simmer.

7. Reduce the heat to low and let the stew cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the apples are tender.

8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
