Smoked Lamb Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African-inspired lamb tagine made with smoked lamb, wild onions, and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Smoked lamb shoulder
- ●1 medium Wild onions
- ●2 teaspoons Tagine spice blend
- ●2 tablespoons Olive oil
- ●1 cup American lamb broth
- ●1 teaspoon Salt
- ●1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- ●1/4 cup (optional) Chopped fresh parsley

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. Cut the smoked lamb into 1-inch cubes and season with salt and black pepper.

3. Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven or clay tagine over medium heat.

4. Sear the lamb cubes until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from the pot and set aside.

5. Add more oil if necessary and sauté the wild onions until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

6. Add the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

7. Add the lamb broth to the pot and bring to a simmer.

8. Return the lamb cubes to the pot, cover, and transfer to the preheated oven.

9. Braise the lamb for 2-1/2 to 3 hours, or until tender and falling apart.

10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot.
