Wilted Cabbage Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole made with wilted cabbage and a hint of bitter flavors. Serve as a side dish or a light dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 medium head, shredded Cabbage
- β2 tablespoons olive oil Wiltedfrom 1 cup wilted cabbage
- β1 small onion, chopped Portuguese
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes Casserole
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1/4 cup, chopped Basil

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the shredded cabbage and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, salt, and black pepper.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Sprinkle the chopped basil on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
