Mediterranean Almond Cake
A moist and flavorful cake made with Mediterranean flavors and topped with a crunchy almond crust. Perfect for a snack or dessert.

- ●1 tsp mediterraneandried herbs
- ●1 cup milkwhole milk
- ●2 tbsp wineyred wine

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Grease a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, Mediterranean herbs, and baking powder.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, red wine, and egg.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

While the cake is cooling, prepare the almond crust by grinding the almonds in a food processor until finely chopped.

Mix the chopped almonds with a pinch of salt and a drizzle of red wine.
