Cantonese Century Egg Congee
A traditional Cantonese-inspired congee dish featuring century eggs and a variety of ingredients. This comforting breakfast or brunch option is rich in flavor and texture.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Congee
- β1 Century Eggcut into small pieces
- β1 Cantonese Eggcut into small pieces
- β1/4 cup Xanthous
- β2 cloves Waxy
- β1/2 cup Melonsdiced
- β2 tsp Soy Sauce
Instructions

Rinse the century egg and cut it into small pieces. Set aside.

Heat the congee in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the waxy to the pot and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the xanthous and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the diced melons and cook for 1 minute.

Add the soy sauce and stir to combine.

Add the Cantonese egg and century egg to the pot.
