Moroccan Fish Tagine
A classic Moroccan dish made with flavorful spices and tender fish, cooked to perfection in a traditional clay pot.
Ingredients
- β1 1 lb fish fillet (any white fish)such as tilapia or cod
- β2 tbsp 2 tbsp xenial olive oil
- β1 1 onion, chopped
- β2 2 cloves garlic, minced
- β1 tsp 1 tsp arabian ground cumin
- β1 tsp 1 tsp saudi ground coriander
- β1 tsp 1 tsp saudi ground cinnamon
- β1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp xenial ground cayenne pepper
- β1/2 cup 1/2 cup herbal chicken broth
- β1/4 cup 1/4 cup xenial lemon juice
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large clay pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute.

Add the fish fillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned.

Add the chicken broth and lemon juice, and bring to a simmer.

Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
