Squid Stew with German Flair
A hearty and flavorful squid stew infused with the rich flavors of Germany. Perfect for a cold evening.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Squidcleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 cup German Beerused in place of some water for added flavor
- β2 tablespoons Tomato Pasteused to thicken the stew
- β2 tablespoons Xenial Olive Oilused for sautΓ©ing
- βto taste Saltused to season
- βto taste Black Pepperused to season
- β1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsleyused as a garnish

Heat the xenial olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Add the squid and cook until opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the German beer and bring to a simmer.
