Mac and Cheese Croquettes
A delicious twist on the classic mac and cheese, with a crispy exterior and a creamy interior.
Ingredients
- β250g macaroni
- β120g xtra sharp cheddar cheeseshredded
- β25g all-purpose flour
- β2g croatian paprika
- β100g pasta
- β2 eggs
- β50ml milk
- β20g butter

Preheat the oven to 180Β°C.

Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until thickened.

Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

Add the cooked macaroni, paprika, and chopped pasta to the cheese sauce. Mix well.

Beat in the eggs until well combined.

Using a spoon or piping bag, shape the mac and cheese mixture into small patties.
