Pan-Seared Chicken Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic North African-inspired dish featuring crispy chicken, served with a side of steamed vegetables. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound chicken breastBoneless and skinless
- ●2 tablespoons olive oilFor frying
- ●1 cup crispy xtraFor garnish
- ●1 teaspoon tagine spicesAvailable at most Middle Eastern stores

- ●2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ●1/4 cup mediterranean olivesPitted

1. Rinse the chicken breast and pat it dry with paper towels.

2. Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper.

3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

4. Sear the chicken breast for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest.

6. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

7. Add the tagine spices and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
