Braised Lamb Tagine
A classic Moroccan dish made with tender lamb and flavorful spices, slow-cooked in a rich tagine sauce.

Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Lamb shoulderBone-in, cut into large pieces
- ●1/2 cup Syrian olivesPitted
- ●1 tsp Flaky sea saltTo taste
- ●2 tbsp Xtra virgin olive oilTo brown lamb
- ●2 tsp Tagine spice blendAvailable at Middle Eastern stores

Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown lamb pieces in batches, then set aside.

Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, then sauté Syrian olives until fragrant.

Add tagine spice blend and cook for 1 min, stirring constantly.

Return browned lamb to the pot, then add 1 cup water.

Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Braise at 300°F (150°C) for 2 hours, or until lamb is tender.
