Brazilian Chicken Casserole
A delicious and easy-to-make casserole dish that combines the flavors of Brazil with the comfort of chicken and cheese. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighscut into 1-inch pieces
- β 1 cup xtra fluffy Brazilian cheeseshredded
- β 1/2 cup casserole creamoptional
- β 1 onionchopped
- β 2 cloves garlicminced
- β 1 cup mixed bell pepperssliced
- β 1 tablespoon olive oilfor cooking
- β 1 teaspoon cuminfor flavor

1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

4. Add the sliced bell peppers and cook until tender, about 4-5 minutes.

5. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

6. Stir in the cumin and shredded cheese.

7. Transfer the chicken mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

8. If using, drizzle the casserole cream over the top of the chicken mixture.
