Polish Sausage Xtra Spicy Casserole
A hearty, spicy casserole made with polish sausage, xtra cheese, and a hint of spicy kick.
Ingredients
- ●1 lb polish sausagecut into 1-inch pieces
- ●1 cup, shredded xtra cheesedivided
- ●1 jar casserole polish sausage casserole mix
- ●1 medium, diced onion sautéed
- ●1 medium, diced bell pepper sautéed
- ●1 tsp cayenne pepperoptional
- ●1 tsp saltto taste
- ●1 tsp black pepperto taste

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Cook polish sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain on paper towels.

In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until tender.

In a large mixing bowl, combine casserole mix, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and bell pepper, and 3/4 cup of xtra cheese.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Top with remaining 1/4 cup of xtra cheese.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Sprinkle with cayenne pepper, if desired.
