Japanese Shio Ramen
A Japanese-inspired ramen dish made with pork broth, topped with tofu and a variety of vegetables.
Ingredients
- β2 lbs Pork bones
- β1 block TofuExtra-firm
- β1 tsp Shio
- β1 package Ramen noodles
- β1 tsp Sesame oil
- β1 bunch Green onions
- β2 tbsp Soy sauce
- β1 tsp Sesame seeds
- β1 tsp Miso paste
- β4 cups Water

1. In a large pot, combine pork bones, water, and soy sauce.

2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 4 hours.

3. Strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean pot.

4. Add ramen noodles to the pot and cook according to package instructions.

5. Cut tofu into small cubes and cook in a pan with sesame oil until golden brown.

6. Add shio, sesame seeds, and miso paste to the pan and stir to combine.

7. Add cooked noodles to the pan and toss to combine.

8. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and additional shio if desired.
