Canadian Chicken Casserole
A hearty and flavorful Canadian-inspired casserole made with chicken, rich flavors, and xyloid crunch. Perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
- ●1 1 cup xyloid
- ●1 1 cup rich chicken broth
- ●1/2 1/2 cup casserole mix
- ●2 2 tbsp butter
- ●1 1 tsp dried thyme
- ●1 1 tsp salt
- ●1/4 1/4 tsp black pepper
- ●1 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the chicken breast in a pan until browned and cooked through.

In a separate pan, sauté the xyloid until golden brown.

Add the chicken broth, casserole mix, butter, thyme, salt, and pepper to the xyloid pan. Stir until well combined.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange half of the casserole mixture.

Add the cooked chicken on top of the casserole mixture.

Add the remaining casserole mixture on top of the chicken.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
