Delicious Portuguese Yeast Bread
A traditional Portuguese bread recipe, perfect for serving with meals or as a side dish.
Ingredients

- β1 cup warm wateraround 100Β°F
- β3 cups flourall-purpose flour
- β1 teaspoon salttable salt
- β1 tablespoon sugargranulated sugar
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor brushing the bread

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast and warm water, let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

2. Add flour, salt, sugar to the bowl and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oblong loaf.
