Traditional Polish Yeast Galette
A classic Polish dessert featuring a flaky yeast dough and topped with a sweet, buttery filling.
Ingredients

- ●2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour polish
- ●1/2 cup warm water yeastyaround 105°F

In a small bowl, combine the yeast and warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and sugar.

Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Add the melted butter and egg, and mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a circle that is about 1/4 inch thick.
