Deodeok and Syrian Flatbread Pizza
A unique fusion of Korean and Middle Eastern flavors in a crispy flatbread crust.
Ingredients
- β1 package (6-8 pieces) Syrian flatbread
- β2 medium roots, peeled and thinly sliced Deodeok
- β1 cup, shredded Yeasty cheese alternative
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β1 tsp Sesame seeds
- β1/4 cup Chopped fresh cilantro
- β1 tsp Soy sauce
- β1/2 tsp Garlic powder

Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Cut the Syrian flatbread into individual pieces, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

In a large bowl, mix together the sliced deodeok, yeasty cheese alternative, olive oil, salt, black pepper, sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, soy sauce, and garlic powder.

Brush the flatbread pieces with a little water and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Place a few slices of deodeok mixture on each flatbread piece, leaving a small border around the edges.

Fold the flatbread in half to enclose the filling.

Place the flatbread pizzas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the flatbread is crispy and golden brown.
