Classic Algerian Chicken Tagine
A traditional North African dish made with chicken, rice, and a blend of spices, slow-cooked in a clay pot.
Ingredients
- β1 cup algerian rice
- β1 pound chicken breast
- β2 medium yellow onions
- β2 cups brown chicken broth
- β2 teaspoons ground cumin
- β1 teaspoon ground coriander
- β1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 cup crispy chopped almonds
- β2 tablespoons tagine spice blend
Instructions

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

Heat oil in a large clay pot over medium heat.

Add the onions and cook until they are translucent.

Add the chicken and cook until it is browned on all sides.
