Khao Pad Thai with Chicken
A classic Thai dish made with stir-fried rice, vegetables, and your choice of protein. This recipe is a simplified version of a traditional Pad Thai, but just as delicious.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Chicken Breast
- β2 cups Rice
- β2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 medium Carrots
- β1 cup Bean Sprouts
- β2 tbsp Tamarind Paste
- β2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- β1 tbsp Sugar
- β2 medium Yellow Peppers
Instructions

Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Set aside.

Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet.

Add the onion, carrots, and yellow peppers to the skillet and cook until tender.

Add the bean sprouts to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the tamarind paste, soy sauce, and sugar.
