Korean Fried Pepper Skillet
A spicy and savory skillet dish featuring crispy fried peppers in a Korean-inspired sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 peppersany color but yellow
- β2 yellow peppersfor added sweetness
- β1 skilletpreferably non-stick
- β2 tbsp oilsuch as vegetable or peanut oil
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingergrated
- β2 tbsp gochujangKorean chili paste
- β1 tbsp soy sauceor to taste
- β1 tsp sugaroptional
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the peppers and cook, turning occasionally, until crisp and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.

Transfer the peppers to a plate and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Add the gochujang and soy sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the peppers to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the peppers are well coated.
