Slovakian Peach Dumplings
A traditional Slovak dessert featuring dumplings filled with a sweet peach filling, topped with a crunchy sugar and nut topping.
Ingredients

- β2 cups all-purpose flour
- β1 cup sugar
- β1/4 cup buttermelted
- β1 egg
- β1 tsp vanilla extract
- β1 cup powdered sugar
- β1/4 cup chopped almonds

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and melted butter. Add vanilla extract and mix.

3. Add egg mixture to flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.

4. Peel and chop the peaches into small pieces.

5. Add chopped peaches to the dough and mix until they are evenly distributed.

6. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.

7. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.

8. Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

9. Place a tablespoon of sugar in the center of each circle.

10. Fold the dough over the sugar and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

11. Heat a large skillet with a couple of inches of oil over medium heat.

12. Fry the dumplings until they are golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

13. Drain the dumplings on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
