Ali's Eastern Delight
A sweet and flaky puff pastry filled with a delicious eastern-inspired filling, perfect for a dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet, thawed puff pastryavailable in most supermarkets
- β2 tsp ali's spice mixavailable in most middle eastern markets
- β1 tsp grated gingeroptional
- β2 tbsp honeyadjust to taste
- β1/2 cup, chopped walnutsoptional
- β2 tbsp sugaradjust to taste

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out a rectangle of pastry, about 1/2 inch larger on all sides than the filling.

In a small bowl, mix together ali's spice mix, grated ginger, honey, walnuts, and sugar.

Spread the spice mix evenly over the center of the pastry rectangle, leaving a 1/2 inch border on all sides.

Brush the edges of the pastry with a little water, then fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle.

Press the edges together to seal the pastry, then use a knife or pastry brush to create a decorative edge.

Place the pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and brush with a little bit of egg wash.

Bake the pastry for 20-25 minutes, or until it is golden brown and puffed.
