Croatian Meat Kebabs with Crispy Onions

Ingredients
- β1 lb 1 lb boneless beef or pork shoulder
- β1 1 large onion
- β2 2 cloves of garlic
- β1 cup 1 cup all-purpose flour
- β1 tsp 1 tsp paprika
- β1 tsp 1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp 1/2 tsp black pepper
- β1 cup 1 cup buttermilk
- β2 tbsp 2 tbsp olive oil
- β4 4 large yellow onions

Cut the beef or pork into 1-inch cubes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, buttermilk, and a pinch of salt. Add the cubed meat and mix until the meat is well coated.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the meat to a plate and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they are crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
