Strawberry Fritters
Sweet strawberry fritters made with crispy Italian bread and topped with a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, cubed Italian bread
- β1/4 cup Strawberry jam
- β2 tablespoons Sugar
- β1 Egg
- β1/2 cup Milk
- β1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- β1 cup All-purpose flour
- β1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
- β1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
- β1 cup Vegetable oil

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Add the cubed bread and strawberry jam to the batter and stir until the bread is evenly coated.

Using a spoon, drop the batter into the hot oil, about 1 tablespoon at a time.

Fry the fritters for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Remove the fritters from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
