Lamb Tagine
A traditional German-inspired dish with tender lamb in a flavorful mediterranean-inspired sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Lamb shoulder
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons Mediterranean spice blend
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- β1 tablespoon Honey
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the lamb with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the lamb on all sides until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Stir in the Mediterranean spice blend, lemon juice, and honey.

Return the lamb to the pot and bring the sauce to a simmer.

Cover the pot and transfer to the preheated oven.

Braise the lamb for 2 1/2 hours, or until tender and falling apart.
