Smoked Syrian Roast Chicken
A deliciously smoky twist on traditional roast chicken, infused with the flavors of the Middle East.
Ingredients
- β2-3 lbs Syrian chicken legspreferably bone-in
- β2 tsp Smoked paprikasmoky flavor
- β1 large Yellowed onion, thinly slicedcaramelized for depth
- β3-4 Garlic clovesminced for flavor
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped for garnish
- β1 tsp Saltto taste
- β1 tsp Black pepperto taste
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor cooking

Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until browned, about 5 minutes per side.

Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, caramelize the onions in the skillet over low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the chicken is done, let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with caramelized onions.
