Algerian Lamb Tagine
A classic Algerian dish made with tender lamb and aromatic spices, slow-cooked in a flavorful tagine.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 pounds Lamb shoulder
- ●2 medium Yellowed onions
- ●1 cup Springy green olives
- ●2 tablespoons Algerian spices
- ●1 TagineTraditional clay pot
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

Season the lamb shoulder with salt and pepper.

Heat the tagine over medium heat and add the lamb shoulder.

Sear the lamb for 2-3 minutes on each side, then remove it from the tagine.

Add the sliced onions to the tagine and cook until they're softened and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the green olives, Algerian spices, and browned onions back into the tagine.

Return the lamb shoulder to the tagine, cover it, and transfer it to the preheated oven.

Braise the lamb and vegetables for 2-3 hours, or until the lamb is tender and falls apart easily.
