Pan-Seared Yellowfin Sushi
A simple and flavorful dish combining the delicate taste of yellowfin tuna with the crunch of sushi rice and the freshness of avocado.
Ingredients
- β1 (6 oz) fillet yellowfin
- β2 tbsp Australian rice wine vinegar
- β1 cup sushi rice
- β1 avocado
- β1 tsp sesame oil
- β1 tsp soy sauce
- β1 tsp sugar
- β1/4 cup green onion
- β1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Rinse the sushi rice in a fine mesh strainer and cook according to the package instructions.

In a small saucepan, combine the Australian rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Heat over low heat, whisking until the sugar dissolves.

Cut the yellowfin into thin slices.

Cut the avocado into thin slices.

Prepare the sushi rice according to the package instructions.

To assemble the sushi, place a small amount of sushi rice onto a flat surface.

Place a slice of yellowfin on top of the rice.
