Argentinian Beef Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Argentina, made with tender beef and vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Argentinian beef stew meatCut into 1.5-inch cubes
- β1 medium Yellowish onionChopped
- β2 medium Brown potatoesDiced
- β2 cups Beef brothLow sodium
- β1 cup Red wineOptional
- β2 tablespoons Tomato pasteCrushed
- β1 teaspoon Dried oreganoGround
- βto taste Salt and pepper

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced potatoes, beef broth, red wine (if using), tomato paste, and dried oregano to the pot.

Stir to combine, then return the beef to the pot.

Bring the stew to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.

Bake at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Season the stew with salt and pepper to taste.
