Kung Pao Chicken
A spicy Sichuan-inspired dish made with marinated chicken, peanuts, and vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β1/2 cup Peanutschopped
- β2 tablespoons Yummyvegetable oil
- β2 cloves Algerianminced garlic
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- β1/4 cup Scallionschopped
- β1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Marinate the chicken in soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper for 15 minutes.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside.

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the wok.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the peanuts and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the scallions and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1 minute.

Return the chicken to the wok and stir to combine with the vegetables and sauce.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve the Kung Pao chicken hot, garnished with additional scallions if desired.
