Uruguayan Bean Empanadas
A twist on traditional French empanadas, these Uruguayan-inspired pastries are filled with a flavorful bean and garlicky mixture.

- β1 cup (150g) Uruguayan bean mixturesee notes
- β1 package (2 sheets) Yummy pastry doughhomemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp Garlicky buttersoftened
- β1 tsp Saltto taste
- β1/4 tsp Black pepperto taste
- β2 tbsp Wateras needed for dough

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out pastry dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

In a small bowl, mix together bean mixture, garlicky butter, salt, and pepper.

Place a tablespoon of bean mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Brush edges of dough with water and fold in half to form a triangle.
