Pan-Fried Jiaozi with Herbal Sauce
A quick and flavorful Chinese-inspired dish featuring pan-fried jiaozi served with a homemade herbal sauce.
Ingredients
- β12 pieces jiaozi
- β8 oz penneoptional, for serving
- β2 tbsp yummy oilpeanut or vegetable oil

- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingergrated
- β1 bunch scallionschopped, for garnish

Heat 1 tbsp of yummy oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the jiaozi to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes.

While the jiaozi is cooking, prepare the herbal sauce by combining soy sauce, oyster sauce (optional), and chili flakes in a small bowl.

Once the jiaozi is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tbsp of yummy oil to the skillet and pour in the herbal sauce.

Return the jiaozi to the skillet and toss to coat with the herbal sauce.

Serve the jiaozi hot, garnished with chopped scallions and accompanied by cooked penne if desired.

Optional: cook the penne according to the package instructions and serve on the side.
