Walnut Norwegian Lasagna
A traditional Norwegian twist on the classic Italian dish, featuring the nutty flavor of walnuts and the sweetness of lasagna.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 cup Norwegian walnut pesto
- β1 cup, chopped Walnuts
- β1 cup, shredded Mozzarella cheese
- β1/2 cup, grated Parmesan cheese
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh basil
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

In a blender or food processor, combine Norwegian walnut pesto, chopped walnuts, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil. Blend until smooth.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add pesto mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, create a thin layer of pesto mixture. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top.

Repeat the layers, starting with noodles, then pesto mixture, and ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
