Slovakian Braised Beef Shin Hash
A hearty, comforting Slovakian-inspired dish featuring tender beef shin in a rich, spiced hash.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef shincut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 cups hashany type
- β2 tablespoons yummy oilfor browning
- β1 tablespoon spiced vinegarfor marinade
- β1 medium oniondiced
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon caraway seedsfor added flavor

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season beef shin with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear beef shin until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove beef from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add hash, caraway seeds, and spiced vinegar to pot. Cook for 2 minutes.
