Bao Pork Buns
A delicious Chinese-inspired dish featuring pork and soft bao buns. This recipe is perfect for a quick dinner or lunch.
Ingredients
- β4-6 pieces 1 package of Bao Buns
- β 1 pound ground pork
- β 1/4 cup chopped scallions
- β 2 cloves garlic, minced
- β 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- β 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- β 1 teaspoon sugar
- β 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- β 1/4 teaspoon salt
- β 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat a steamer basket over boiling water.

In a large bowl, combine pork, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, five-spice powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until just combined. Do not overmix.

Spoon about 1/4 cup of the pork mixture onto the center of each bao bun.

Steam the buns for 5-7 minutes, or until they are soft and cooked through.

Serve the buns hot, garnished with additional scallions if desired.

Note: You can also pan-fry the bao buns with a small amount of oil until crispy and golden brown.
