Saudi Arabian Lamb Tagine
A traditional Saudi Arabian stew made with lamb, spices, and dried fruits.

Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs lamb shoulderCut into 2-inch pieces
- β2 cups arabian lamb broth
- β2 tbsp zero-hour sauce
- β1 tsp pungent spicesGround cumin, coriander, and cinnamon
- β1/2 tsp saudi saffron
- β1 cup dried datesChopped
- β1/2 cup almondsChopped
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- β1/4 cup fresh parsleyChopped

Instructions

Heat oil in the bottom of a large clay pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the lamb pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the broth, zero-hour sauce, spices, saffron, dates, almonds, salt, and pepper.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Stir in the chopped parsley and serve the tagine hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
