Brazilian Spaghetti Bolognese
A twist on the classic spaghetti bolognese, with a zesty Brazilian flair.
Ingredients
- β0.5 pounds zesty sausagecasings removed
- β1 pound spaghettidried
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup pasta saucehomemade or store-bought
- β2 medium tomatochopped
- β1 tablespoon oreganodried
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente. Reserve.

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the zesty sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the pasta sauce, chopped tomato, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to combine.
