Traditional Greek Kleftiko
A classic Greek dish made with tender lamb and herbs, slow-cooked to perfection. This traditional kleftiko recipe is perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Lamb shoulder
- ●2 tbsp Greek oregano
- ●1 Zesty lemon
- ●2 sprigs Chewy fresh rosemary

1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F).

2. In a small bowl, mix together the oregano, lemon zest, and rosemary.

3. Rub the lamb shoulder all over with the herb mixture.

4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Place the lamb shoulder in a large Dutch oven or heavy pot.

6. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer to the preheated oven.

7. Braise the lamb for 3-4 hours, or until tender and falling apart.

8. Remove the lamb from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
